Witch Hunting Russell Rice

by JAMES RIDGEWAY And ALICIA NG

Russell Tice, the whistleblower and a source for the New York Times scoop on Bush,s secret civilian surveillance program, was subpoened last week to appear before a federal grand jury later this month. He has been fired from NSA. Bush is trying to stop leaks by going after journalists and whistleblowers. Tice sought to testify before congress but thus far has been rebuffed.

In a press release issued by the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition last week, Tice said: "To this date I have pursued all the appropriate channels to report unlawful and unconstitutional acts conducted [by the government] while I served as an intelligence officer with the NSA and DIA.
